Job Safety Analysis (JSA) & Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
Workplace Health and Safety
Course Overview
This course teaches participants how to correctly complete Job Safety analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
It is vital that workers know how to correctly complete risk assessments. A poorly completed risk assessment could increase the level of risk because workers think they have gone through the exercise of doing a risk assessment and have identified suitable risk controls. Creating a false sense of risk control and security.
A JSA can be used as a practical safety assessment tool through a process of identifying hazards, assessing, and addressing risks and controlling risks for jobs with a high potential risk of injury.
A safe work method statement (SWMS) is required for the high risk construction work activities defined in the WHS Regulations 2022.
